Effective November 2, 2026. Publisher: Rebellion LLC. Applies to Notification Log 1.0.0.
This page describes the Android app. Visiting this website, downloading its installer, and contacting support are separate from the app’s local data.
Notification access
You choose whether to enable Android’s notification-access permission. Android grants broad access to the notification objects it shares with the listener. Notification Log uses app identity, notification times, grouping and update metadata. Its code does not read notification titles, message text, people, actions, or content intents.
What is stored locally
The visible history stores the source app’s package name, display name, and the time Android posted its notification. The app also keeps hashed notification identifiers and group names, notification event times, counts, audible-alert timestamps, active state, elapsed times, duplicate-handling totals, and your settings to help distinguish updates and organize the history. Raw identifiers and group names are not persisted.
These records stay in the app’s private storage on your phone. Notification Log has no internet or location permission, advertising, analytics, remote accounts, subscriptions, or cloud storage. It does not send notification history to Rebellion LLC or anyone else. Icons are loaded from installed apps.
Your controls
Settings → Apps to record lets you exclude future notifications from particular apps while preserving their existing history. You can revoke notification access in Android’s settings to stop collection. Force-stopping the app or Android disconnecting it can create gaps that cannot be reconstructed.
Swipe or hold an entry to delete it, or use Clear shown for the current app and time filter. Undo lasts 10 seconds; another deletion ends the previous Undo period. Hidden grouping metadata, hashed deduplication state, and aggregate diagnostic counters can remain after visible entries are cleared. Expired Undo records are purged when the app next processes history.
Clearing this app’s storage in Android settings or uninstalling removes its local data, including settings and technical state. App backup and device transfer are disabled in the Android configuration. There is no cloud recovery service.
Protecting local data
Android’s app sandbox protects the local files. Notification Log does not add a separate database password or app lock. Use your phone’s lock and security settings to protect physical access to your device.
Website downloads and support
Cloudflare hosts this website and handles download requests, security controls, and website performance measurements. Those services may process network and request information separately from the offline Android app. See the website’s contact and site notes.
If you contact hi@rebellioncompany.com, the email providers involved process what you send so we can respond. The app does not automatically attach notification history or diagnostics. Share only information you intend to send.
